Heads Welcome

Welcome to East Sussex Academy.

My team and I are incredibly proud of the improvement journey our school is currently on. Since joining London South East Academies Trust in September 2025, we have been focused on creating high-quality alternative provision that gives young people the support and encouragement they need to succeed.

Many of our pupils have faced significant challenges in mainstream education, so our aim is to provide nurturing environments where they can re-engage with learning, build confidence and fulfil their potential.

It is an exciting time for our school, having secured and opened new sites in Hailsham and Newhaven. A complete re-development of the existing Hastings site is also planned for the coming year, ensuring children and young people across the county have access to the provision and care they need and deserve.  Alongside this, we continue to expand our outreach and specialist support services for schools and families in East Sussex.

We are ambitious for every young person we work with and remain committed to delivering inclusive, high-quality education that helps them thrive both now and in the future.
