DfE PE and Sport Premium

The PE and Sport Premium is ring‑fenced funding provided by the Department for Education to primary‑age provision to improve the quality, sustainability and impact of physical education, physical activity and school sport.

Purpose of the Funding

Schools must use the PE and Sport Premium to:

• Support all pupils to live healthy, active lives
• Increase participation in physical activity and sport
• Improve pupils’ health, wellbeing, personal development and academic outcomes
• Embed long‑term positive attitudes to physical activity, regardless of background or ability
